So, you now have a great website and you are ready to take on the world wide web! The next question you should ask is how will my potential clients find me in the internet?
With millions and millions of websites out there, how will yours stand out when a search is done for a service or product you supply? What will get you the deal? The answer is simple... you need to be listed as high on the search results as posible. How do you that? With a good SEO campaign, which can start with optimizing your website or going the extra mile and investing in a whole SEO strategy!
In order to get the major search engines to place you at the top of their rankings, you have to get your web pages noticed, and indexed. The search engines send out spiders, or crawlers, everyday to go to different web sites. When a spider is crawling through a web site and sees a link to another site, it automatically follows the link that has been created.
When the crawler arrives to the new site it crawls over the web pages to see what the content is. Then it reports to the search engine that it has located a link on page x, that leads to page y. Now in order to get real recognition, all your links need to come from sites that are relevant to material on your site. Every time the spiders find a link from a relevant site, that leads back to you, the search engines consider you to have gotten a “popularity vote”. The more popular the search engines think your pages are, then the closer to the top of the rankings they will place your web site.

Open http://www.google.com and type “web development in Pretoria”. Hopefully you see us there, hopefully close to the top just below “sponsored links”.
Red Cactus SEO is broken up in three facets.
1) Initial setup and configuration
2) Continued rework and optimization after the initial setup. (This is typically required monthly for the first three months and then only once every 3-4 months after that depending on the number of changes performed on the site.
3) Monthly add words campaigns.
Initial setup and configuration of content for SEO.
We have an initial cost for SEO of R850.00 VAT Incl, per 10 medium pages (1-10).
The initial cost provides us to spend time on the pages and format the content correctly including but not limited to Meta Tags, Keywords, Layout and related links.
Although we are actively involved in providing suggestions and formatting we still require content from you.
Continued optimization
Continued optimization and rework of content depending the initial feedback from search results is imperative in the success of a campaign. Red Cactus charges R450.00 per 10 pages for refreshing/reworking content based on usage recommendation.
Add Campaigns
We have many recommended options including but not limited to “GOOGLE Addwords”, banners, related site links and facebook adds.
Please discuss your budget with us so that we may assist in this… Typically a small campaign of about R150.00 per month on Addwords will get you started with clicks… but this is absolutely up-to your budget.
We do however recommend R350.00 per month to get things going for Add Campaigns and about R150.00 per well-exposed banner on related sites per month.
So to summarize things… (as a good start-up guideline ) you can get your medium site running for R850.00 and expect to spend another R250-R1200.00 per month on a good campaign. Also remember that you may opt-out at any time... No contracts required. Also you can fix the cost per month as not to get any surprises. |

| Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Other forms of search engine marketing (SEM) target paid listings. In general, the earlier (or higher on the page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search, news search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a website web presence. |
